A Little Piece of Harvest

The Sweet Corn Star reminds me that inspiration is often waiting in the most familiar places in the garden, along a country road, or in the colors of a field we have passed a hundred times before.

This design celebrates those simple, beautiful things: golden corn, green husks, handmade traditions, and the feeling of bringing the harvest home.

I hope you love the Sweet Corn Star as much as I loved creating it.

There is something especially lovely about adding new colors to the Prairie Paint collection. Each one begins with a feeling, a memory, or a glimpse of color found in the gardens, fields, and stories that inspire everything we create.

Today, I’m so excited to introduce two beautiful new shades: Plum Pickin and Blue Belle.

Gardeners know that green tomatoes hold a certain magic.

They are the promise of what’s coming next. The stage where the plant is strong and full of life, quietly preparing for the abundance of late summer.

When I began mixing this color, I kept thinking about those mornings walking through the garden rows — brushing past the vines, checking the fruit, feeling the warmth of the sun on the leaves.

Green Tomato became a color that celebrates that moment of growth and anticipation.

Yesterday I shared a little reel of me painting Blue Belle — soft petals unfolding in shades of Windmill Sky and Bluebird Morning from the Prairie Paint collection.

There is something about blue flowers.

They don’t shout.
They don’t demand.
They simply bloom.

The Ponderosa Star

A Barn Quilt Rooted in Strength & Stillness

Some designs arrive quietly, carrying more meaning than they first reveal. The Ponderosa Star Barn Quilt is one of those pieces—steadfast, grounding, and deeply rooted.

Inspired by the towering ponderosa pine, this star reflects resilience shaped over time. Ponderosa pines grow slowly and deliberately, sinking deep roots before stretching skyward. They endure wind, weather, fire, and long seasons of waiting—standing as markers of patience, protection, and strength.

The Ponderosa Star carries that same spirit.
