The Cathedral Window Barn Quilt is one of the most meaningful designs in the Moonbeams & Cabin Dreams Collection, a series inspired by the stories of my ancestors who homesteaded the Nebraska prairie in the early 1900s. The Dutch Girl Star was born from that feeling, a desire to paint something joyful and steady, rooted in folk tradition yet bright enough to feel alive in the present moment. This design is a celebration of new beginnings and steady hope. The Morning Star has long been a symbol of guidance and renewal, and I loved the idea of creating a piece that feels like an invitation to begin again—calmly, gently, and with intention.
