This week in the garden and the kitchen, we’ve been gathering inspiration from the fields—where wild clover sways and the bees hum through golden days. Inspired by those sweet meadows, we’re sharing one of our favorite early summer treats:
Honey Clover Shortbread Cookies.
Buttery and delicate, with just a touch of golden honey, these little cookies are as simple to make as they are lovely to share. Whether you’re baking for a tea party, a picnic basket, or a quiet afternoon treat, they’re sure to carry a little wild sweetness in every bite.
We added a sprinkle of edible clover blossoms for a little folk-art charm, but they’re just as lovely plain. Each one is a little reminder of the beauty found in the small things—sunlight, blooms, and honey on the tongue.
As I rolled the dough and pressed each cookie into shape, I kept thinking of the clover in the fields and the gentle hum of bees nearby. It felt like more than a recipe—it felt like remembering something.
