Story Quilt No. 005

Story Quilt No. 005 is a charming and playful piece in the Story Cloth Quilt collection, stitched by hand and filled with vintage color and pattern.

The front of this quilt features a bold checked pattern in soft gray, black, red, and golden yellow  - a graphic arrangement of squares that feels both nostalgic and cheerful. The gentle rippling created by thousands of tiny hand stitches adds texture and movement across the cloth, giving the quilt its soft, lived-in character.

Turn the quilt over and a softer story appears. The reverse side reveals a warm mauve floral cloth scattered with delicate blossoms, offering a beautiful contrast to the structured check pattern on the front.

Like all of our Story Quilts, this piece is made from layered cotton cloth and stitched slowly by hand using traditional running stitches. The result is a lightweight quilt that feels breathable, textured, and wonderfully comforting.
